Josh Holloway in Talks for The Avengers?
There is a story currently over at Avenger News that Josh Holloway, the hunky actor who played Sawyer on Lost, is in talks to play a role in the upcoming Avengers movie:
Sorry for the bad joke, but we received this interesting tidbit about “LOST” star Josh Holloway over the weekend. Apparently there’s been talk between Marvel and his group to play a “lead” role in an upcoming Marvel film. We mention a “lead” role because these bigger actors often won’t sign “retainers”, meaning everything should be 100% locked (character, film, etc) for Josh once he’s signed the dotted line. We have no idea who he could be playing or how soon he could sign, but here are some of our thoughts we've compiled with the subtle hints we've received.
Doctor Who 5.09 Cold Blood Review
"This is the story of our planet, Earth. Of the day a thousand years passed when we came to share it with the race known as humanity. This is the story of the Doctor who helped our races find common ground and the terrible losses he suffered. This is the story of our past and must not be forgotten."

Help 9th Wonders Save Heroes!
9th Wonders! the Official Unofficial Fan Site for Heroes has decided to initiate an origami cranes/waffles/syrup ''Save Heroes'' campaign aimed at NBC in an effort to have the studio change their minds regarding the cancellation of Heroes and save the show.
It would involve sending some origami cranes and/or waffle and syrup to NBC. If you want to help and to learn more please go directly to the 9th Wonders site here.
Remember, Jericho fans managed to bring back the show even after it was cancelled with a similar campaign so who knows what can be achieved by faithful and loving Heroes fans!!

Slowly but surely, details from the SyFy US version of the BBC Three smash hit Being Human are emerging.
First of all, the show will be set in Boston.
Second, the werewolf character named George in the original UK version will now be named Josh, and the vampire Mitchell (seems they are keeping the name) will be jewish.

Once again, SFX has put up some teasers for the upcoming Doctor Who episode Cold Blood. Before you read on, I believe #4 will have something to do with the Fifth Doctor (insert squee here), and #8 probably refers to what was said by Alaya last week. As for #9, I have no clue, haha!

See Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield in Resident Evil 4!
These new pictures from Resident Evil 4 are now online and since we get a look at Chris Redfield (played by Wentworth Miller from Prison Break) one of the Resident Evil games' most popular characters, I thought I would put them up.
It's funny that being the most important character in the game franchise he's also one of the last to appear in the movies (well, there's always Leon Kennedy who has yet to make an appearance I guess). Returning are Milla Jovovitch as Alice and Ali Larter as Claire Redfield, Chris's sister.
Enjoy!

Meet Tony Stark's New Dad!
British actor Dominic Cooper will play Tony Stark's father, Howard Stark, in the upcoming Captain America: The First Avenger movie.
The character was previously played by Mad Men's John Slattery in the recently released Iron Man 2 film.[//Film]
Cooper has previously appeared in The history Boys and most recently in The Duchess with actress Keira Knightley and Mamma Mia! with Amanda Seyfried.

The Hobbit Movies Update
After all the talks about filming starting in June and then July, we now have some news as to when shooting will now apparently begin for the long-awaited The Hobbit movies. As well, we also have some news as to the status of the two scripts, and the possibility that it will shoot in 3D (Lord help us. Though OK, it would probably be great to see The Hobbit in 3D but I'm expecting massive headaches):

What's interesting is that there will be pictures released from the Series 5 finale The Big Bang.
Doctor Who 5.08 The Hungry Earth Review
Written by Chris Chibnall, who last wrote the underrated series 3 episode 42, The Hungry Earth is the first part of a two-part story that features the return of a classic Doctor Who monster, the Silurians. I believe that the time was ripe for their return, and I wouldn't mind Steven Moffat revisiting a few other classic monsters in the next series if possible, like the Zygons, for example.

Ten More Teasers for Doctor Who 5.08 The Hungry Earth!
Great news everyone, we now have ten more teasers for Doctor Who 5.08 The Hungry Earth airing saturday in the UK courtesy of Digital Spy!
1. Amy and Rory are expecting to arrive in Rio when The Doctor mistakenly lands them in a Welsh village in the year 2020. Yes, it's just an excuse to see Amy in a tiny skirt for the next two episodes but let's agree to overlook that.
2. Immediately The Doctor senses that there's something unusual with the ground below them. There's something wrong with the grass, too.
3. Pay attention to the script very early on in this episode. A lot of the lines will have added poignancy after the story is done with.

Reunion with the Rikers - Video
There's a video of Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes, now online, that was part of the special Star Trek: The Next Generation Blu Ray set.
Jonathan Frakes, who played Commander William T. Riker, and Marina Sirtis, who played Counsellor Deanna Troi for seven years on TNG as well as on 4 subsequent movies, first pitch a sitcom for their characters which they liken to Star Trek meets Galaxy Quest (I loooooove Galaxy Quest). Very funny stuff. Then they go on talking about the show, the movies, their characters and more.

Amy Pond's Mother to Make an Appearance on Doctor Who
According to IMdb and Tardis Wiki, Amy's mother will make an appearance in Doctor Who episode 5.12 The Pandorica Opens.
She will be played by actress Karen Westwood, and at this point the character is only listed as being ''Amy's mother.'' I figure that it could possibly be only a small role.
Also take note that nothing is officially confirmed yet.

Welsh Actress Denies Doctor Who Rumours
A few days ago, the Daily Star reported that actress Joanna Page would be coming on board the Tardis as a long-lost relative of the Doctor (you can view the post here).
Now the actress has denied the claims that she is set to appear on Doctor Who.
"It's not true," she told PA. "A friend was telling me about that. I was like, 'I wish it was true'.
"I think I've got to be the only Welsh actress who has never been in Doctor Who so if someone would like me to be in Doctor Who I would love the part."

The Doctor's Long Lost Relative to Board the Tardis
The Daily Star reports that Gavin and Stacey actress Joanna Page will star in Doctor Who.
Apparently, she will play a long-lost relative of the Time-Lord.
She’s been offered two episodes and if that goes well the sky’s the limit.
She’ll start off as a long-lost relative of the Doctor but may then become a major player.
Obviously we would love her to have a long-term future in Doctor Who

''So here's your challenge. Two worlds: here in the time machine and there, in the village that time forgot. One is real, the other is fake. Doctor Who - Explore the Tardis!
After exploring the Dalek Ship and the Forest inside the Byzantium, now we can sneak into the Tardis itself in this newest BBC panoramic.
The TARDIS, or Time and Relative Dimensions in Space, is the Doctor's vehicle and home that can take him to any place and any time.
Having had the interior of its control room destroyed when the Doctor regenerated, it reconfigured its appearance and now features a clicking date display, a new central time rotor and typewriters and taps for controls, which suits the Eleventh Doctor's style. It's even given him a port for his Sonic Screwdriver. The Doctor treats the TARDIS like an old friend, calling it 'dear' or 'old girl'. It's bigger on the inside than the outside and its swimming pool may now be in its library. Or somewhere else: it'll turn up.

RANT: The Death of Heroes
The show that made a phenomena of the phrase ''save the cheerleader, save the world'' is Dead. NBC has cancelled Heroes.
And now my TV world has come crashing down.
This news was somewhat expected, but still, it felt as if I'd been punched in the stomach. I've never cried over the cancellation of a TV show before: I did as soon as I learned NBC had cancelled it. Right now, writing this, I have tears still in my eyes.

Doctor Who 5.07 - Digital Spy Ten Teasers for Amy's Choice
I was wondering where they'd gotten to but Digital Spy has finally put up their 10 teasers for tonight's episode (in the UK that is) of Amy's Choice:
Better late than never, eh? Normally we'd upload our Ten Teasers on a Monday but this week they've been quite heavily delayed because the episode in question - 'Amy's Choice' - has been undergoing a lot of last-minute tweaking.
It's also an extra-complicated task to provide any teasers this week without spoiling the whole episode, as you'll realise when you see it tonight. Anyway, without further ado...

Over at ABC V, a show everyone thought was a goner, was renewed. Like Chuck, V received only a 13 episodes order.

Billy Zane to Be in the Next Batman or Superman?
There are rumours that Christopher Nolan has approached actor Billy Zane to play a part in either the next Batman movie, or in the next Superman.
Rumours have claimed Zane has met Christopher Nolan, who is directing the sequel to The Dark Knight as well as producing and overseeing a relaunch of the Superman franchise.
The role Zane is rumoured to be in the running for is that of Superman's arch-nemesis Lex Luthor. The 44 year old actor had apparently been linked to the Luthor role even before the Bryan Singer revival.

True Blood: Sookie's Fairy Godmother Cast!
Michael Ausiello has announced that British actress Lara Pulver - who recently starred in the BBC series Robin Hood - will play Sookie Stackhouse's fairy godmother (and distant cousin) Claudine in HBO's True Blood.
Claudine often acts as Sookie's own guardian angel, often saving the life of our favourite Merlotte waitress in the course of Charlaine Harris' Sookie Stackhouse novels.
Now, I wonder who they will get to play Claude - Claudine's gorgeous (and very gay) twin brother! Any suggestions?

Doctor Who 5.06 The Vampires of Venice Review
After the last incredible two-parter written by Steven Moffat, Being Human writer/creator Toby Whithouse had his work cut out for him, to say the least, for this week's episode. Surely, a lesser writer would have been daunted by the task, but not Whithouse. As a stand-alone episode, The Vampires of Venice is a fantastic story; well written, well-crafted, and well-acted. Once can almost see this episode as a character piece. As part of an ongoing story arc, it adds more information concerning the crack in time storyline that's been prevalent since episode 1, and it also ushers you in to the next chapter. I will get back to it later.
