Neil Gaiman Teases Us with his Doctor Who Script

Neil Gaiman recently teased his twitter fans with this picture of himself with Richard Curtis and Steven Moffat while holding his Doctor Who script.

Mr. Gaiman is deftly hiding with his fingers the title for his episode that will only air next year during series 6.

Way to tease us Neil!

Casting News from the Season 5 of Doctor Who

Writer Richard Curtis has announced who will play Vincent Van Gogh in the upcoming episode he is writing for the season 5 of Doctor Who.

The actor who will play the famous painter is Tony Curran. Most people may remember him as Marcus, the Vampire leader and antagonist of the movie Underworld 2.

I find this bit of casting very interesting. Especially since there is a certain resemblance between the actor and Van Gogh. I'm very excited about the upcoming season 5, though I mourn the loss of David Tennant deeply.

Vincent Van Gogh on Season 5 of Doctor Who

A while back I reported here that writer Richard Curtis from Blackadder fame was writing an episode of Series 5 of Doctor Who with Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor.

Today, it was revealed that the historical character was going to be famous painter Vincent Van Gogh and that the monster would be yellow.

"So I'm doing a Doctor Who that will be on TV next February. I've got Van Gogh stabbing a monster."

"Someone from the BBC just sent me a picture of my monster. I had to decide if it was yellow enough."

It also seems to be confirming that series 5 will closely follow the last of the specials that is set to air on New Year's Day 2010. Curtis says his episode is set to air in february.
