Finally! The one we've all been waiting for, our very first look of actor Aidan Turner (Being Human's vampire, Mitchell)as Kili in Peter Jackson's The Hobbit, the upcoming sequel/prequel to The Lord of the Rings.
And if you were afraid all that dwarf makeup would hide Turner's total hotness, well you'll be really, really happy to see they've kept his smouldering looks relatively intact.
Take a look below:

Being Human Producer teases the return of Herrick for season 3
Herrick played by Jason Watkins
Talking to SFX Magazine, Being Human producer Phil Trethowan has revealed a few tidbits about the upcoming season three of the popular BBC series about a ghost, a vampire and two werewolves living together.
If you recall, Herrick (played by Jason Watkins) was killed at the end of season 1 by George (Russell Tovey) in his werewolf form, but the vampire was resurrected at the end of season 2 in a very shocking twist. Now Herrick will be back in season 3 of course but he won't specifically be the main villain in the series.

Exclusive Comic-Con 2010 Story: BBC America's 'Being Human' Press Room
The cast of the BBC hit show Being Human at the press junket: Aidan Turner (Mitchell), Russell Tovey (George), Sinead Keenan (Nina), and Lenora Crichlow (Annie).
The first press room I attended at Comic-Con, which is also the very first press room I have ever attended, was with the BBC America hit series Being Human.
The basic premise of the show is simple: it's about a vampire, a ghost, and now two werewolves, all living together and trying to lead a normal life - which, you can very well imagine, is not an easy task.
But I myself could not have had an easier task, as this was an absolute dream press room.
Comic-Con 2010: BBC's 'Being Human' More Human Than Supernatural
During the Being Human press conference at Comic-Con, the cast talked about their reaction to and how they felt while reading about the concept of the successful Sci-Fi show for the first time.
Actor Russell Tovey, who portrays werewolf George on the BBC series, confessed that when he first heard the concept of a show having a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost living together, he thought it sounded like a kid's show, and that it seemed like it would never work.

Comic-Con 2010: Press Rooms
Since I figured that all my news would be old news by the time I get to post something about Comic-Con, I decided to make some posts about my experiences in the press rooms, so that you get a bit of an insider's view as to what they are, how they work.
I was lucky enough to be able to attend four press rooms during this incredibly busy and crazy convention (far more crazier than I thought believe me. You think you know what you're getting yourself into when you've never gone to Comic-Con before but believe me, you do not).

Comic-Con 2010: Toby Whithouse Talks US 'Being Human', Matt Smith, and 'Doctor Who'
Don't be fooled by the name on the card, but the guy with the dark hair and beard is Toby Whithouse. (sorry for the blurry pic)
While attending the SFX Presents The British Invasion panel just a bit earlier today, Toby Whithouse, creator and showrunner of BBC3's hit show Being Human and writer of Doctor Who's recent Vampires of Venice episode, made some interesting comments concerning the US version of Being Human.
Whithouse claimed that for him it was a bit of a wrench to see Being Human being remade in an American version. However, he went on to joke that there was good money in it.

Hot Casting News for US Version of Being Human
Seems like the American version of Being Human has found its vampire Aidan (it's Mitchell in the Original UK version). According to Ausiello, the vampire will be played by former Smallville super baddie Sam Witwer.
As well, actress Meaghan Rath (The Assistants) as signed on to play the role of ghost Molly (Annie). Not officially cast yet but believed to be in the running for the role of the werewolf Josh (George) is Sam Huntington (Superman Returns, Cavemen).
[Ask Ausiello]
Being Human is about a vampire, a ghost and a werewolf living together and trying to blend in with the rest of the world. I hope the US version will work as well as the British original does.
So what do you think of these casting news?
And do you think Witwer will be as swoon worthy great as Aidan Turner is in the role?
Just leaving you with that image and thought. You can absolutely click on it. Just saying.

On the heels of the casting news of Eastender's Lacey Turner, now British actor Robson Green (Wire in the Blood, Northern Lights) has joined the cast of Being Human as a werewolf.
Apparently, a source said that “Robson’s a huge admirer and was delighted to get involved. It’s a big departure from dramas he’s been in like Wire In The Blood and Northern Lights.”

More News on Being Human Series 3!
Right from Being Human's creator Toby Whithouse himself, comes more news from the upcoming series 3 of the BBC Three hit supernatural drama.
Coming from SFX Magazine again, here is what Whithouse revealed about series - or season - 3:
“Season 3. Firstly I approve of our adoption of the American term ’season’ for what we used to call a ’series’. Even though in the States, as series really does last the the length of a season. Whereas over here our series’ are much shorter. I mean how many seasons in Britain last just 6 to 8 weeks?! Apart from summer, obviously. Anyway, usually I hate the way English has become so wantonly Americanised, but this I like. So carry on.
Being Human Series 3 Casting and Story News!
Filming on the series 3 of Being Human has recently begun, and this is the first piece of news that I've seen so far. The casting news is coming fresh off SFX Magazine:
Fresh from a mind-boggling cameo where Terry Wogan ended up being a conduit for the men with sticks and rope last series, the powers-that-be behind Being Human have unveiled another well known TV star to appear on the show in the upcoming third season.
