True Blood's Sookie and Eric to Hook up Early?

Seems like an Eric and Sookie pairing may happen sooner than expected.

Mickey O'connor, senior editor at TVGuide.com has hinted that it may happen sooner rather than later. When asked when the pairing of everyone's favourite viking vampire and telepathic waitress would take place, he had this to say:

We're guessing it'll be soon, because once Sookie finds out what Bill is up to over at the king's manor house, she is going to be more than ready for some "passionate, primal sex."

Of course, it's only a guess and it may not happen at all this season, at least not the way we would want it to happen. And we know that Eric will spurn Sookie's advances in episodes 5-6. Maybe afterwards?

But since Alan Ball has veared a bit from the novels (which in itself is a good thing on some levels i.e. Lafayette and bad on others *cough* Tara *cough*) while maintaining the general overall storyline, it could still happen in series 3, ahead of series 4.

Me, I've been patiently waiting since season 1 for it to happen.

Anyone else looking forward to shipping Eric and Sookie?
