Doctor Who - Flesh and Stone Review

What a fantastic episode! Brilliant! Let's just get it out right now: Steven Moffat knows how to spin a yarn and he does it really beautifully with The Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone. The two-parter story will probably go down as one of Doctor Who's finest ever. I often found myself thinking about how much Flesh and Stone reminded me of Aliens in it's opening scenes. There was the same sense of urgency and panic – deftly supported by Murray Gold's incredible soundtrack - when the Doctor and the others have to escape the clutches of the advancing Weeping Angels.

Doctor Who: Upcoming Weeping Angels Two-Parter Like ''Aliens''

According to Steven Moffat, if his first Weeping Angels episode Blink was more like Ridley Scott's Alien, then The Time of Angels and Flesh and Stone can be compared to James Cameron's Aliens.

The upcoming two-parter will be much more action oriented than Blink was.

Doctor Who in Paley Center: Interesting Tidbits

Yesterday, Steven Moffat, Matt Smith and Karen Gillan were on hand in New York City's Paley Center to answer questions from journalists and to premiere the first episode of Doctor Who Series 5 titled ''The Eleventh Hour ''which airs this saturday, April 17, in North America.

Doctor Who Episode 4 ''The Time of Angels'' Promo Pics

Here are two promo pics for the upcoming Series 5 episode 4 of Doctor Who titled The Time of Angels. [Spoiler TV]

The Doctor and Amy emerge from the TARDIS to find the wreck of the Byzantium spaceship. Down below the Weeping Angels are stirring, but the Doctor has someone else to contend with; none other than the mysterious Professor River Song.

The episode is written by Steven Moffat and marks the return of two of his most iconic creations: Professor River Song and the Weeping Angels.

Awesome Doctor Who SFX Magazine Animated 3D Cover

SFX magazine has posted a picture of its upcoming Doctor Who Special.

Issue 194, which is coming out March 10 in the UK, will boast an incredible 3D cover that shows Matt Smith as the Doctor and Karen Gillan as Amy Pond. The Weeping Angels are also featured on the cover which has a rather spooky and atmospheric look.

I don't know when the magazine will be coming out in North America but we are usually a month or two behind.

More Weeping Angels for season 5 of Doctor Who!

New Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat has confirmed that one of his most terrifying creations, the very popular Weeping Angels who appeared in the scary episode 'Blink', will return on Season 5 of Doctor Who, starring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor!

Moffat is no stranger to weaving dark stories for Doctor Who. During season 1 he wrote 'The Empty Child' and 'The Doctor Dances', and most recently during season 4 with 'Silence in the Libray' and 'Forest of the Dead'. He even compared his upcoming season 5 of the series as a dark Fairy Tale.

Season 5 is really shaping up to be exciting.
