Check out the first glorious minute from Outlander's highly anticipated opening episode of the second half of season one

Starz has released the first minute for the highly anticipated second half of the first season of its hit series Outlander which finally returns on April 4th after a painful, six-month long hiatus.

The opening scene - introduced by showrunner extraordinaire Ronald D. Moore - comes from Jamie's (Sam Heughan) point of view instead of Claire's (Caitriona Balfe), which was the only one we've heard so far. This also marks a stark departure from the first book written by Herself, Diana Gabaldon, on which season one is based, because it was told solely from Claire's POV. We first heard Jamie's "voice" in the third book of the series, Voyager.

It's a bit jarring and doesn't pick up exactly where I thought it would, but it's very interesting to hear what Jamie thinks. (Since the official Starz video is for US viewers only, I managed to fish out this one which everyone can see.) Have a look after the cut.

Starz has released the very first behind-the-scenes look at Ronald D. Moore's (Battlestar Galactica) upcoming time-traveling series Outlander.

The new video not only reveals some brand new scenes; it also features interviews with some of the main cast (including Sam Heughan, Caitriona Balfe, Lotte Verbeek and Graham McTavish) as well as with Moore and the book series' author, Diana Gabaldon.

Starz has just released the first awesome promotional key art for its upcoming time-traveling series Outlander from executive producer Ronald D. Moore, as well as finally providing us with the date for the eagerly anticipated series' premiere!

Starz releases three new awesome Outlander pics of Jamie, Claire and Frank!

Starz has released three brand new pics from its upcoming time-traveling series Outlander.

The first one (the one above) is a very beautiful, official promo shot of Claire (Caitriona Balfe - who looks AMAZING in that pic), standing in what looks like the stables at Castle Leoch.

The other two pics are behind-the-scenes shots.

Ron D. Moore talks about Outlander, Sex, Game of Thrones and the future of Helix

Ronald D. Moore (Battlestar Galactica) gave a recent, excellent interview with The Hollywood Reporter in which he discusses Starz’s upcoming time-traveling drama series Outlander, sex on cable and a little show called Game of Thrones, as well as his science-fiction series Helix.

Starz has released its third "How to Speak Outlander" lesson. The new term? "Mo Nighean Donn," which means "My brown-haired lass."

This is the term of endearment Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan) uses for Claire (Caitriona Balfe) in Diana Gabaldon's first two Outlander novels: Outlander and Dragonfly in Amber.

Once again the lesson is given by Gaelic expert Adhamh O Broin, and spoken by Sam Heughan. This time, he also has a bit of, erm "help" from his co-stars Gary Lewis (Colum MacKenzie) and Graham McTavish (Dougal Mackenzie).

Starz has released the first official character pics for its upcoming time traveling series Outlander.

Based on author Diana Gabaldon's best-selling series of books, Outlander follows the story of World War II nurse Claire Randall (Caitriona Balfe) who finds herself flung into the past in 1743 where she meets the gallant young Scottish warrior Jamie Fraser (Sam Heughan).

So without further ado:
